Over one hundred coaches attend Autumn Coach Support Sessions
Throughout September and October, over 100 coaches from 25 different clubs attended three face-to-face coach support sessions.
Known as Autumn Series, the free coach support events welcomed FA Playmaker and Introduction to Coaching qualified coaches from across the Sheffield & Hallamshire region.
The sessions provided coaches with the opportunity to gain valuable face-to-face coach support, develop their skills as a coach and gain accredited CPD hours.
Each session focused on a specific area of the game and consisted of two back-to-back practical sessions to observe. Every coach that attended also received a support pack and session plan to compliment the sessions being delivered on the night.
Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA continue to support our local grassroots coaching network with free face to face support, to compliment FA education courses that have now moved online.
Tom Measham, Senior Football Development Officer said: “This is the second series we’ve put on for newly qualified and Level 1 and below qualified coaches, and the turnout has been absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere that the coaches create, the questions and desire to learn throughout the events has been first class.
“It goes to show how much our local grassroots workforce care for the experience that they give to their players. Whilst this appetite remains, we will continue to deliver events of this type for free!”
