UEFA B and UEFA C coaches in our region can get an insight into academy coaching at local professional clubs with our free-to-attend academy observation sessions.

The sessions will be taking place at five local academies:  Doncaster Rovers FC, Sheffield United FC, Rotherham United FC, Sheffield Wednesday FC and Sheffield United Girls Regional Talent Club (RTC).

Each session will include a session observation, a club philosophy workshop, England Football Coach Development support and a Q&A with the coaches delivering the session.

This initiative provides coaches with the opportunity to gain valuable face-to-face coach support, develop their skills as a coach and gain accredited CPD hours.

Tom Measham, Club support Officer at the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA, is encouraging coaches to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

Tom said: “With over 250 coaches attending our coach support events over the last 12 months, this demonstrates the importance of continues learning in the coaching community, and I’m sure this initiative will be extremely well attended so I’d urge you to register your place as soon as possible.

“As always, we are keeping these events free for coaches which again demonstrates our commitment to developing coaching in our county.” 

Who should attend?

• Coaches looking to progress onto the UEFA B Licence or for Level 2/UEFA C coaches looking to further develop their technical/tactical knowledge. 
• Coaches looking to reinforce the learning from the UEFA B Licence and/or looking to progress into academy football. 

What can coaches expect to take away?

• Improved technical detail and knowledge 
• Deeper understanding of principles of play
• A better understanding of how to develop players 
• New practice ideas
