Female Coaches Community

New support network launched to support female coaches

A brand-new support network for female coaches will launch next month to support the development of female coaches in the Sheffield & Hallamshire region.

The Female Coaches Community, which will provide female coaches with an opportunity to develop their coaching knowledge and network and share experiences with other female coaches in the area, will be officially launched on Monday 6th March at an introduction event at SGP Thorncliffe.

Who should join?

The Female Coaches Community is FREE to join and is perfect for both new and experienced coaches.

New coaches will get access to a support network as well as development opportunities to help them on their coaching journey. More experienced coaches will have the chance to support aspiring female coaches and attend bespoke coaching events to attain CPD hours and expand their knowledge.

Why should I join?

You’ll get access to dedicated support and events delivered by SHCFA staff, regional coach development officers, community champions and/or FA coach mentors. The support on offer will include everything from coach support events to a relaxed coffee and catch up.

Below are some examples of the type of opportunities we plan to offer to our Female Coaches Community:

  • Practical observations
  • Peer observations
  • Mini coach networks
  • Online and offline CPD
  • Matchday experiences
  • Session sharing

How do I join?

An introduction event will take place on Monday 6th March 7pm-9pm, at SGP Thorncliffe, Pack Horse Lane, Sheffield, S35 3HY.

The event is free to attend and will be a perfect opportunity to find out more about our Female Coaches Community, meet other female coaches and discuss the type of development and learning opportunities you’d like to see offered throughout the season.
