Casual Coaches Required

Casual Coaches Required for S&HCFA’s FA Football Mash Up sessions in partnership with Sport FX

The FA Football Mash Up (FMU) programme was created to address the high dropout rate in 14-17 year olds participating in affiliated 11v11 football. Mash Up centres, which are based on school sites as ‘after school clubs’ offer a recreational opportunity where the emphasis is on the players to choose the structure and content of their session which the coaches facilitate.

In South Yorkshire the FMU programme runs in partnership with the South Yorkshire Police Sport FX programme. Sports FX is a programme of sporting activities that are delivered in areas identified as ‘hotspots’ for youth antisocial behaviour, with the aim of diverting young people away from crime and antisocial behaviour. The programme also aims to increase participation in local sporting activities with the aim of developing skills, fitness and confidence.

The programme has three key aims:

•             To divert children and young people away from crime and antisocial behaviour

•             To increase participation in local football and sports

•             To keep young people safe
