Soccercise

Want to deliver Soccercise sessions?

Join our free training event to find out more about this popular format of the game

Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA is hosting two Soccercise training events in April, open to instructors, coaches or anyone who wants to find out more about this format of football.

Soccercise is an instructor-led aerobic exercise or circuit class, typically lasting 45 – 60 mins in length. It can be delivered indoors or outdoors and combines a variety of fitness exercises with a football. The class is delivered to music and is based on repetitions of specific exercises (i.e., toe taps, squats, sit-ups).

The training event will offer an overall of what Soccercise is and how to lead a safe, fun, and inclusive session to a range of participants.

Those that complete the training could potentially work with us to develop regular Soccercise sessions for clubs, communities and other groups.

We will be running two separate training sessions in Rotherham and Sheffield on the same day:

  • Thursday 7th April, 1:00pm- 2:30pm at Rotherham Leisure Complex, Effingham St, Rotherham S65 1BL
  • Thursday 7th April, 7:00pm- 8:30pm at English Institute for Sport (EIS), Coleridge Rd, Sheffield S9 5DA.

Alongside our free training offer, there will also be an opportunity to apply for our Soccercise start up pack, which includes all the equipment you need to get a session up and running, as well as the option to apply for potential additional funding to support the start-up and retention of regular sessions.
