The eleven categories which will be recognised at the awards were:

- Football Development
- Insight & Data
- Partnership
- Special recognition
- Women & Girls
- Youth Engagement
SHCFA has made the final shortlist for the Special Recognition award for our respect, reward and intervention initiative to improve player behavior at youth games. Implemented across all our youth leagues, clubs that achieved 100 percent Full-Time Respect scores were recognised on a monthly basis on our website, with a winning club chosen at random and rewarded with complimentary group tickets to a local professional club.
SHCFA has also made the final shortlist for the Youth Engagement award in recognition of our Young Activators Academy, which was developed as part of our Women’s Euro 2022 legacy work. The programme, launched in September 20221, was aimed at students aged 16-25 in Rotherham and Sheffield, providing volunteers with valuable insights into key areas of the game as well as opportunities to attend a range of in-house and online CPD sessions and events.
