It is with regret that we have to inform you of the recent passing of a local Refereeing stalwart, Rodger Hibbert

Rodger was a Member of the Sheffield RA for over 20 years, having served as  Vice Chair, Chair and President of Sheffield RA and was currently the representative to the County RA before his passing. 
Having started refereeing in 1988 aged 44 and being a member of the RA since that date, Rodger Attained the ‘old’ class 1 Level.  

Rodger Refereed at local grassroots level and Assistant Referee on the County Senior League. He also had the honour of being Assistant Referee on three local league cup finals.

Rodger was a Licenced Referee Instructure, Assessor at grassroots and contributory league level (Northern Counties East League) as well as a S&HCFA referee examiner/evaluator until his recent retirement.

Rodger was also the Player registrar and Referee Appointments Secretary on the now closed Sheffield Amateur League.

Rodger leaves behind Jean, his children Spencer and Louise, and 4 grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.  Our condolences and Sympathy go to all his family at this time.
