Mental Health poster comp winner

Boot Depression Away

Sarah Wood
Winner of our Mental Health poster competition

We all know how important it is to keep fit and healthy, both in your body and in your mind.

Early this year we opened a competition and asked young people to design a poster around helping tackle mental health issues.

We got a fantastic response from young footballers across our local teams and we’re pleased to announce the winner.

Congratulations to the Young Elites U12 player who designed ‘Boot Depression Away’

We can’t miss out on celebrating the other creative ideas so please take a look at a selection below.

Second place:  DSC U13s
Third place: Steel City Wanderers U15

A poem  from Charlotte Damm, Adwick Warriors;

We cannot meet in the field or in the street
But we can make plans because the future is in our hands

We can take a virtual call while training with a ball
Have a chat, I think I’d like that

Its ok to feel sad so don’t feel bad
Just call a friend and don’t pretend

We've had a fantastic time with our poster competition.  Everyone on the judging panel had a big smile on their faces and were amazed by the quality of entries that came in.  Well done to everyone who has taken part
