SHCFA are delighted to introduce Mike Drummond as our new Youth Football Officer. Mike joins us with a wealth of experience and is looking for to starting his role at the County FA.
Here's a little bit about Mike:
Before Joining SHCFA, I worked as a coach and programme development officer for Dallaglio RugbyWorks which is a sport and employability charity. In this role, I used the power of sport to transform young people’s lives who have been permanently excluded from education in the London region. In addition to this, I have been involved at a variety of levels in football such as working for Derby County’s Academy and being involved in coaching across a variety of age groups in the grassroots game. I have a passion for using sport to promote positive change and development in young people’s physical, mental and social wellbeing. Having the opportunity to give many young people across the county a positive, inclusive and consistent experience in football is something that I am determined to do.
About Mike's role:
Youth Football Officer - My main role as a Youth Football Officer is to develop strategies to build, develop and support the growth of young people’s overall experience in football. In addition, I am going to work collaboratively with all club and local networks to support the retention of players and transition into adult football or any other areas within the game.
From all at SHCFA we would like to wish Mike good luck with his new role.
