Teams of the Month

Sarah Wood
November Team of the Month

Thanks to our local leagues who have nominated their ‘Team of the Month’.

Team of the Month recognises those who have excelled either on the pitch or off the pitch.  This can be anything from positive behaviour, good sportsmanship, timely administration, improved results, and going above and beyond to support grassroots football.

Despite many games postponed in November we are grateful to receive several nominations for November.

New Bohemians (Blades Super Draw Sunday Sports League)
“Four wins out of four League and Sunday Cup games in November, scoring 25 goals in the process. It has taken them into the last 16 of the Sunday Junior Cup and to the top of the Blades Super Draw Division Two. In their first season playing adult football, they are the only Division Two team with a 100% record - even more remarkable with an average age of just 20”

Handsworth Amber U18’s (The Meadowhall DB Sports Sheffield & District Sunday League)
“Handsworth Amber U18 have won their last six games, excellent discipline and have encouraged players to move through the clubs age groups with players playing for open age teams”

Birdwell Rovers (Barnsley & District Sunday League)
“Great start to season for a new club and still in the County Junior Cup round 4”

Northside Lodge FC (Barnsley & District Sunday League)
“100% start to the season in the league after years of struggling results wise”

Durkar Devils U7’s (Barnsley & District Junior Sunday League)
"New team manager, Luciana Watson joined Durkar Devils after completing her FA Level 1 during the summer.  She has taken on lots of responsibilities and is always willing to listen and learn.  A great example to set as a new manager”

Well done to all the teams recognised by leagues.
