Workshops Hit The Road

Calum Oakenfold
Coaching Roadshows Planned Across South Yorkshire

Alongside the FA Coach Mentoring Team and Sheffield Hallam University Womens’ High Performance Centre we will be hosting CPD Roadshows throughout the season specifically focusing on those coaches currently working within the female game. These workshops will be designed to support coaches when working with female players around the development of their players throughout the 4 corners, their practice and session design and how they coach.

This will be achieved through both indoor theory, discussion and debates and practical sessions delivered by the people attending and the staff including Richard Meek (Coach Development Officer – SHU Womens’ High Performance Centre & Technical Director at Sheffield United RTC), Dean Smith (FA Coach Mentor & FA Affiliate Tutor), Andy Beaglehole (FA Coach Mentor & FA Affiliate Tutor), Julie Grundy (Liverpool Ladies Academy Manager & FA Coach Mentor) and Ben Hardaker (Football Development Officer & FA Affiliate Tutor).

The first two roadshows will take place at the following:

- Tuesday 25th September – SHU Sports Park, S9 1UA – 6.30-8.30pm (working with players aged 7-9 years old)
- Thursday 27th September – Bessacarr JFC, DN4 6HR – 6.30-8.30pm (working with players aged 12-14 years old)

Attending the roadshows is completely free of charge and you can book via the online link.

Should you have any questions about the roadshows please contact us on Development@SheffieldFA.com

Please note that coaches who are not currently coaching a female team or female players are also more than welcome to attend as part of their ongoing learning and professional development.
