Respect Code Of Conduct
WELCOME TO THE RESPECT CODE OF CONDUCT PAGE
CREATE THE RIGHT ENVIROMENT FOR YOUR PLAYERS
Creating the right environments for our players, both on and off the pitch is so important. Even though your role could be slightly different from someone else within your club or league, it’s important that we all play our part in creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
The Respect codes of conduct are in place to ensure that everyone involved within an FA Charter Standard club or league is playing their part to give the players a positive experience. (The FA)
By agreeing to use a set code of conduct you are providing a set standard that all club members have to adhere to. As best practice we would recommend that each and every time your players sign up to the club they sign the players code of conduct and parents are invited to sign the spectators code of conduct. By reading and agreeing to the code of conduct this provides a clear framework of what behaviours are accepted. Should behaviour stray outside of these expected behaviours your club can look to address the behaviour through the club’s discipline procedures.
We would also recommend for those clubs that operate their own facility that your codes of conducts are visible in changing areas. It is also a great idea to store the code of conducts on the clubs website so they are easily accessible to members.
