The Sheffield and Hallamshire Men’s Senior Cup Final between Worksop Town and Penistone Church, due to take place on Tuesday 30th April, has been rescheduled for Thursday 9th May (7.30pm kick-off) at Hillsborough Stadium.

With Worksop Town’s season at a critical stage as they focus their efforts on securing a play-off place in the Northern Premier League, and after consultation with both finalists, hosts Sheffield Wednesday FC and the FA, it has been agreed by all parties to reschedule the fixture.

The decision was made in advance of Worksop Town’s final league game of the season this weekend. This is to ensure there is sufficient time given to all involved parties to rearrange the fixture should Worksop Town qualify for the Northern Premier League play-offs. 

We would like to thank Penistone Church for their cooperation, Sheffield Wednesday FC for supporting with an alternative date, and wish Worksop Town the best of luck in their final league game of the season.
