2022-23 County Cup Finals: Venues & Dates Confirmed
Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA is delighted to announce the dates and venues for this season’s County Cup finals.
This year, our ten County Cup finals will be held throughout May at multiple venues across the Sheffield & Hallamshire region.
The action will begin with the Women’s County Cup final on Thursday 4th May under the floodlights at Doncaster Rovers’ Eco-Power Stadium, as last year’s winners Huddersfield Town Women take on Doncaster Rovers Belles in a 7.30pm kick off.
On Tuesday 9th May, we head back to Doncaster to Rossington Main’s Oxford Street Stadium for the final of the of the Sunday Senior Cup final between Stannington Village and last season’s winners Scawthorpe Athletic at 7.30pm.
On Saturday 13th May, we stay at Oxford Street Stadium for the final of the Association Cup between Jubilee Sports and AFC Dronfield which kicks off at 12pm. This will be followed by the Saturday Junior Cup final showdown between current holders of the competition Athersley Recreational FC Vets who take on Elite AFC at 4pm.
The following day, on Sunday 14th May, we travel to Barnsley to the home of Athersley Recreation FC to crown the winners of the Sunday Junior Cup, as AFC Dronfield take on Greendale Oak at 12pm.
Moving on a week, an action-packed weekend of finals follows as our four junior finals and the highly anticipated Senior Cup final take centre stage.
Over at Phoneix Park, home to Dinnington Town FC, there will be two girls cup finals on Saturday 20th May: the U13s Girls Cup final between Elite AFC U13 Red Girls and Barnsley FC Ladies U13s at 11.30am, followed by the U16s Girls Cup final between Wickersley Youth Girls U16 and Elite AFC U16 Girls at 2.30pm.
That evening, last year’s Senior Cup runners-up Maltby Main FC will be looking to go one step further as they take on Emley AFC at Doncaster Rovers’ Eco-Power Stadium at 7.30pm.
The next day, Sunday 21st May, it’s back to Dinnington as we wrap up this year’s County Cups. Barnby Dun Colts U13s go up against Junior Tykes FC U13s or Porter U13s in the U13s Boys County Cup final at 12pm. Then it’s the U16s Boys County Cup final between Ecclesfield Red Rose J.F.C. U16 boys and Thorncliffe Villa FC U16 which kicks off at 3.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased on the gate at all our County Cup finals. We will be accepting both cash and card payments. Turnstiles will open at least an hour before kick off, more information will be communicated via our website ahead of each fixture.
