Face to face identify document verification for DBS Checks
Measures have been put in place to support volunteers across the grassroots game complete FA DBS checks. Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA will support those who require an FA DBS, this includes referees, new Club Welfare Officers, and volunteers from clubs who do not currently have a welfare officer place.
Any other club official should contact their Club Welfare Officer to complete their DBS applications.
We will be following the latest FA Guidance which was issued in June – ‘Guidance on carrying out face-to-face Identity (ID) Document Verification for DBS checks in line with Government Covid-19 guidelines’
Anyone who requires an FA DBS must complete the following online registration form. As part of the verification process you are required to meet face to face with a SHCFA staff member to have your ID documents verified. This will take place at the SHCFA headquarters.
Once you have completed the online form you will receive an email with guidance on how to apply for an FA DBS online. Following this, you will then be given a specific appointment time and further guidance and procedures.
