Benevolent Fund

The object of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Benevolent Fund is to give assistance to players and former players of affiliated clubs, officials and referees who may by reason of injury, illness or hardship, be in the opinion of the council, in need of such assistance.

Financed through donations by members,  the Benevolent Fund has assisted a large amount of people over many years.

Assistance can only be afforded to members of those clubs who have contributed to the Fund, and no Club shall be entitled to make an application until one month after the payment of their subscription.

All applications for assistance shall be made on a form obtained from the Association, signed by the Club Secretary and a member of the Council who is prepared to support the application.

If you believe that you have a valid claim please contact Carol Taylor on 0114 261 5500 or email

Brian Jones, Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA chairman,  said: “It is great to have a facility such as the Benevolent Fund in place to help those who need assistance.

“It is important to remember that the Fund may need to be utilised by anyone and therefore donations are always welcome.”
