Safeguarding and Welfare

The safety of children is paramount

Everyone who works or volunteers with children or adults at risk has a role to play to ensure that robust safeguarding systems are implemented across grassroots football.

Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA have a dedicated staff team to support you with your safeguarding queries or concerns.  We would encourage people to get in touch with us if you have any concerns or would just like some advice.

Designated Safeguarding Officer

SHCFA has a Designated Safeguarding Officer to support grassroots football across Sheffield & Hallamshire. We also understand that it can be very scary to be involved in a safeguarding issue, either as a witness or if someone tells you about a concern that they have so please remember that we are here to help.

If you believe that a child is at immediate risk of harm please contact the police on 999

If you would like further information from a professional then you can call the NSPCC on their 24 hour helpline 0808 800 5000
