Casual Workers Required

Could you help support the development of grassroots football in our region?

The Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA are looking for people who are passionate about grassroots football to help us grow the game.

With several assignments of work expected throughout the season, there will be opportunities to get involved in building relationships with our participants and stakeholders across all areas of the game.

Having some knowledge and experience in sports development or community activities is preferred, but we are predominately looking for people who can build rapport well with others, act as a positive role model and be an advocate for grassroots football.

Work Assignments

Work assignments may be offered throughout the season across all areas of the game. Hours of work will be varied and may include evenings and weekends. A casual worker will earn approx. £25 per session/hour.

We are currently looking for people who can support our Disability Football Ambassador programme and Recreational Football programmes.

Disability Football Ambassador Programme

This project will involve supporting England Accredited Clubs to create their own Disability Football Game Plan.  Your role will be to support clubs to implement the Game Plan to provide more club-based opportunities for disabled people to play, coach and/or volunteer.  The project is for 50 hours and will commence March 2023.  If you are interested in this particular project you must be able to attend the ‘FA Disability Ambassador Training’ session in early March (date TBC).

Recreational Football Programme

There will be several opportunities within our recreational football programme, specifically around women’s recreational football but may also include men’s football and youth football.  We are looking for people to support projects which help kick-start session delivery.  The roles will be coaching/facilitating/leading recreational sessions mainly for people who are new to football.  We’re looking for people who are good at engaging with others and can provide a positive first experience of football.  These projects will be varying in hours and will commence March/April 2023.
