Refereeing in Walking Football

Sarah Wood
Practical learning opportunity for referees and players

As walking football becomes more popular in the area, we’re seeing more teams who want to play in competitive fixtures.  The game of walking football is the same as regular football apart from no running.  A competitive game of walking football has rules, goals, winners and losers.  These matches, like many others, require referees or leaders to help manage the game.

To help walking football players have the best experience possible we would like a cohort of trained people to referee the games.

We are hosting a free training session to anyone who would like to develop their knowledge and understanding of officiating walking football.  You may be an existing referee, a player, a coach, or someone who just wants to find out more.

Our evening workshop will take you through the basics and give you an opportunity to get involved practically outside on the pitch.

Wednesday 4th August
