WHAT ARE THE FA AND MCDONALD’S GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL AWARDS?
Celebrating the people who make grassroots football great For All The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards are for people who make a positive difference. It’s our way to celebrate the fantastic individuals who put their heart and soul into the grassroots game across England – and say a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who inspire us all.
How the awards work
These awards are to recognise and reward the people, clubs and leagues that deliver grassroots football throughout the country. The awards are split into categories, and County FAs select a local winner for each. These form a shortlist for our national winners, selected by a national judging panel. The Bobby Moore Award is a national category, and the winner is chosen by our national panel from across the local winners. It honours the club, league, project, team of people or individual that has exemplified the spirit of grassroots football. The winner is chosen by the National Judging panel when they meet on 9 June.
Grassroots Coach of the Year for Youth
The Grassroots Awards are now closed. We would to thank everyone who voted. We had 304 votes in total, which was the highest across the country. The panel of judges will now decide the winners of each category in our county, the announcement will be made on the 23rd June 2020.
