England Talent ID Workshop

England Talent ID Workshop

Sarah Wood
Expand your knowledge of the para-football pathways
In preparation for our England Talent Day on the 6th July we will be hosting a Talent ID event to support grassroots coaches in identifying players.

If you’re a mainstream grassroots football coach this is for you!

The FA Para-Football Talent Strategy details the need to identify players within mainstream education and community football settings who, for a variety of reasons, may not wish to be found.  One of these reasons is the lack of understanding in relation to the opportunity for a talented player to benefit from a dual pathway involvement (i.e. playing for their club whilst also being engaged in The FA’s Para-Football Talent Pathway).

This workshop will provide you with knowledge of:

- Player pathway
- Age, stage and classification
- Eligibility and classification
- Recognise talent/potential
- International game format
- Referral process
- What can you do to help
- Action planning

The 3 hour CPD workshop will feature both on & off field practices. The off field CPD workshop will be hosted by the FA’s talent ID lead for our area; Paul Campbell. The on field workshop will feature players from Club Doncaster Titans & be led by FA coach mentor; Liam Kay.
