Female Football Kickstart Grant

Calum Oakenfold
Inspired by the Women’s World Cup?

Inspired by the Women’s World Cup?  We certainly are, and it’s a great time to inspire others into playing the beautiful game.

We want every female across South Yorkshire regardless of age, background or ability level, to have access to local football opportunities.

The Female Football Kickstart Grant aims to support this at a local level.  We are looking to fund projects which provide football activities for women and girls, which meets one or more of our aims:

- Engages new female participants
- Engages females from under-represented groups
- Has the ability to develop into a longer-term project

We will not fund existing projects or projects that are currently being funded by a SHCFA funding partner, such as the Football Foundation.

Grants of between £200-£500 are available.

Who can apply?

- Not-for-profit organisations
- Voluntary or community clubs/organisations
- Registered charities
- Education establishments

What will we fund?

The associate costs with starting a new football activity such as facility hire, equipment, marketing and promotion, incentives.  We will not fund fixed capital items or building refurbishments.

How to apply?

To apply for the Female Football Kickstarter Grant email Football Development Officer Tom Measham with a brief outline of your project details and project impact.  Please also indicate where you project may be delivered, how you plan to recruit new players, and how funding will be used.

With the England Lionesses attracting a TV audience of over 6 million in their first World Cup game, it's a great time to encourage women and girls to give it a go.  I'm sure they will love it!"

Closing date for the grant is 7th July 2019.  Applications received after this date will not be considered.
