Registered Referee ID Card Scheme

Calum Oakenfold

As we continue to ensure we have the correct procedures in place to safeguarding our children, young people and adults at risk, this season sees the introduction of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Registered Referee ID Cards Scheme.

In seasons past it has been the junior leagues that have produced ID cards for the referees that are registered with themselves so they are able to officiate their league games.  As of the 2018/19 season, Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA are introducing ID cards for all referees that wish to officiate within the county. This means that the leagues will no longer be doing referee ID cards. All referees of require an ID card - so regardless of your County FA or your age you will need to apply for the card.
The ID card is another way in which we can help to put safeguards in place within grassroots football across all ages.

Please be aware that this ID Card will display your Emergency Contact Number (ICE) and it is your responsibility to ensure that you do not allow coaches to take a photo of your ID card for your own data protection, you can either instruct them to write your FAN down or produce a written copy of your FAN to hand to them.
If you still have not registered for your card then please read the information letter and  complete the application form and return back to Melissa.burgin@sheffieldfa.com along with a head and shoulders photo you would like to use on the card.

If you would like to speak to Melissa about the ID Cards then you can contact her on 0114 251 6612
