Charity Walking Football Festival for Bobby Moore Fund

    •

The FA and the Bobby Moore Fund will be hosting a Walking Football festival in Sheffield on Saturday 8th July.

The festival is in aid of The FA’s Charity Partner, the Bobby Moore Fund, and is open to everyone regardless of ability or background.

Since the Bobby Moore fund was set up in 1993 mortality rates have fallen 30% and over £23.5 million has been raised for research, but we still have so much more to do.

Our purpose is simple – to bring forward the day when bowel cancer is cured.

Where:  SGP Thorncliffe - S35 3HY
Date: Saturday 8th July
Time: 11am-3pm
Players: must be 18 or over to participate
Numbers: 6 a-side
Cost: £50 per team

As the FA has kindly agreed to cover all festival costs, 100% of your entry fee will go directly to the Bobby Moore Fund to fund life-saving bowel cancer research.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive more information about the day itself including a Bobby Moore Fund fundraising pack.

As well as the Walking Football festival, we hope to turn the weekend into a county-wide fundraiser opportunity with activities such as penalty shootouts, raffle and much more on the day! You can use our pack for some inspiration and we encourage everyone in your local community to get involved.

All players will receive a FREE raffle ticket for signing up to the festival by registering on arrival. Prizes so far include:

-Phillips Headphones
-Free tickets to Paradise Island Adventure Golf
-Sheffield Wednesday FC Tickets
-Sheffield Wednesday FC Shirt
-Family day out to Tropical Butterfly House
-England shirt signed by the Men’s senior team manager, Gareth Southgate
