Celebrating the Female Game

The 2017 European Women's Championship was UEFA’s biggest-ever female tournament and the semi-final between England and the Netherlands generated a peak audience of 4m viewers in the UK on Channel 4.  The England Lionesses inspired a nation.  A nation of players, coaches, referees, volunteers and football fans.

S&HCFA aim to Inspire, Develop and Promote people at a local level.  The grassroots female game would not exist without hard working, committed and passionate people who work across the game.

We invite you to celebrate local female football on Wednesday 20th September at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium, 6:30-9:30pm.

This will be a great opportunity to hear from guest speakers who are involved in coaching, refereeing and volunteering in female football across Sheffield & Hallamshire.  Hear about their challenges, successes and how they have influenced and inspired others.

There will also be a chance to meet likeminded people where you can discuss your own challenges and successes, and put your ideas forward to help develop the game further.  A complimentary buffet and tea/coffee refreshments, and raffle will also be available on the night.

The event is FREE to all S&HCFA members (players, coaches, volunteers, referees, and young leaders - anyone who works in the female game).  Attendees must register beforehand as spaces are limited.  Registrations can be made here.  Please note that the minimum age is 14 years old and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or carer.

For any further information about the event please contact Natasha Wilson on 0114 261 5550.
