Summer Tournaments/Festivals 2017

    •
In the summer months many clubs organise tournaments and festivals for clubs and teams in the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA region and beyond.

All the tournaments advertised on this page have been approved and sanctioned by the County FA.

I am sure you are all aware it is essential that these tournaments are affiliated with the S&HCFA for a few reasons. Please read the information below and make sure you affiliate your competition.

FOOTBALL FESTIVALS

Any Club wishing to hold a Competition/Tournament must sanction the Competition with their parent County Association at least 14 days prior to the Competition taking place.    An application form for sanction of the Competition should be fully completed and returned to the offices of the Association together with the competition fee, copy of the Rules of the Competition and a full list of the teams taking part.

If any competition has teams competing from abroad then this needs to receive sanction of The Football Association and details should be submitted to them at least 28 days prior to the Competition taking place.

If any Club affiliated with the Sheffield and Hallamshire County F.A. wishes to compete in a Competition whether through this Association or any other Association, then they should seek permission from the County F.A.   (No form or cost involved)

If any Club wishes to play matches against foreign teams (abroad) then they need to seek sanction from The Football Association at least 28 days prior to the Competition taking place.   There is a form which needs to be completed by the Club and then authorised by the County F.A. prior to it being submitted to The Football Association (Wembley Stadium).

Forms for all these Tournaments/Competitions/matches can be obtained from the offices of the Association, “Clegg House”, 204 Meadowhall Road, Sheffield, S9 1BN – telephone 0114 2615500 or by email to info@sheffieldfa.com

Should you have any queries, please contact Philip Palmer at the office by email phil.palmer@sheffieldfa.com or telephone 0114 261 5500

Most importantly, it means that both the teams and the referees are insured as well as being affiliated with the County FA.

This means that should misconduct take place at a tournament any offending  player/manager/spectator or club/team can be disciplined in the appropriate way.

On this page you will be able to find the current list of this summers sanctioned tournaments.

Along with appropriate information relating to the festival or a link to the host club web site where you will find all the relevant information.

If you wish to promote your festival/tournament then please send all the relevant details through to the County FA (with application forms attached if you wish) to marketing@sheffieldfa.com or direct to Richard.finney@sheffieldfa.com

Please let us know as soon as possible any details for the summer

This year the tournament is sponsored by a great friend of the Club that sadly passed away last year.
