The club landscape has changed. Across England there are more teams than ever playing football within 18000 clubs run by over 400 000 dedicated volunteers. The number of clubs is gradually reducing but the size and opportunities offered by clubs has increased with many larger clubs now supporting over 4o teams, the largest running over 100 teams!

We appreciate that each and every club in the County is different, and requires different support to help to meet your ambitions. Our club support officer Tom Measham is here to provide you with bespoke support in the following areas;

Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League (***FA Charter Standard League***)

Geographical Area:  30 mile radius of Sheffield Cathedral
Age groups:  Adult male (players aged 16+)
Further Information:  We have multi-national teams.  The Premier Division is Step 7 of the National League System and we provide a pathway into the Step 6 Northern Counties East League. 

2020/21 Offer

The County Senior Saturday football League have a great offer available for clubs looking to register with the league for the 2020/21 season. The league has 3 divisions with the premier division classed as Step 7.  All grounds have changing rooms and showers with the premier division allocating 3 FA officials. For the 2020/21 season the league is also offering a Kit bag, first aid kit, water bottles & and training bibs supplied in first season (worth £160), along with supporting the development of clubs through offering 50% of any coaching courses undertaken by member clubs (up to a max of £200 per club per season). Finally, the county senior league prides their selves on being a Charter Standard accredited League, with the majority of clubs holding a Charter Standard status, which again the league would support any new team to the league to achieve! League fees £100 prem, £90 div 1 & 2

Geographical Area:  North Midlands  
Age Groups:  Under 19’s & Under 21’s
Further Information: 

This is a flexible mid-week floodlit evening league for development teams (U19-U21).

Fixtures are set with 3 officials and teams can negotiate which day of the week they play on. This season the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA took over the sanctioning of the North Midlands Development League.

 

2020/21 Offer

This league focuses on the offering a high-quality competition for the development of U19/ U21 teams.

The league is played on a flexible mid-week basis, with KO’s in the evening, therefore not distributing a team’s weekend commitments! Along with the flexible fixture dates, the NMDL also pride their selves on allocating 3 officials to every fixture, so every match is governed to a high standard. The league is open to any teams at this age bracket, who will have access to their own or be able to source a floodlit facility.

Women’s offer

From next season the NMDL is also looking to create an offer for Female development teams (U19/ U20/U21). If you are a female club with teams already at this age bracket or looking to create female development teams for the 2020/21 season, please register your interest with the league or The Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA.

Further Information:  The SDFPL is always happy to receive applications from new teams looking to join the League. New Teams who want to join a League that puts fair play at the centre of football are very welcome to apply to join us.  The league is Christian run.  

Doncaster Rovers Senior League (***FA Charter Standard League***)

Geographical Area:  Maximum of one hour in travel time
Age groups:  Adult male (players aged 16+)
Further Information:  Affordable football on offer.  The league helps clubs as much as possible. The league has a ‘magic Saturday’ where every club plays at one venue and has drinks afterwards which helps create a positive atmosphere.  

2020/21 Offer

The Doncaster Rovers Saturday League are looking to recruit new teams to the league for the 2020/21 season! The league offers a great standard and professionalism allocating 3 FA Officials for every match and flexible kick off times, with occasional fixtures held on Friday evenings where needed. Throughout the season teams within the league can compete in 3 league cups, finals being held at the Doncaster Keepmoat Stadium! The league prides itself on being an FA Charter Standard League and will support all clubs to retain or become Charter Standard and develop to the best they can be! For the 2020/21 season the league is offering the first 24 clubs a discounted £50 for all league fees and 3 match footballs!

Further Information:  Formed in 1969 and originally known as the Sheffield Sunday Sports League, the Blades Super Draw Sunday Sports League has developed to become one of the top adult Sunday leagues in the county.  We believe it became the first, and possibly only, Sunday League to be sponsored by a professional football club, Sheffield United. The League's reputation as one of the most progressive was further highlighted by it becoming the first male adult Sunday League in the County FA area to sign up to the FA's Respect campaign and it was the first Adult Sunday League in the County FA area to be awarded one of The FA's Respect Awards and it has been commended twice more by The FA since then. Good standards of behaviour by all participants are the cornerstone of the League’s approach, together with good quality facilities.

Further Information:  We were formed in 1966 and are still one of the biggest leagues in south Yorkshire we 5 division and 3 main cup with final normally played at Rotherham united ground
