Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA organises and coordinates eight County Cup competitions, which include some of the world’s oldest knockout football competitions.

Senior Challenge Cup

The Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Senior Challenge Cup is the joint oldest cup competition being run by a County Football Association, sharing this accolade with Birmingham County FA.

The first Senior Challenge Cup was won by The Wednesday back in 1876 at Bramall Lane.

Frickley Athletic were awarded the cup for 2016 following Shaw Lane Aquaforce's withdrawal from the competition.

Sunday Senior Challenge Cup supported by Owlerton Greyhound Stadium

The Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Sunday Senior Challenge Cup 2015-2016 represents the pinnacle of Sunday male grassroots football in the County FA region, with the 2015-2016 final  being held at Rotherham United's New York Stadium.

Westville were last season's winners, finishing the game 2 -1 winners after beating Rawmarsh team Fitzwilliam Arms 1 -1

Association Challenge Cup supported by Fortay Media

Handsworth Parramore's Reserves eventually proved too strong for the Grimethorpe Sports coming from a goal behind to win the final team in the final at Penistone Church FC's Memorial Ground with what was eventually a resounding 5 - 2 victory, which came after Grimethorpe had scored the first goal of the game.

Saturday Junior Challenge Cup in association with Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT)

AFC Emley hosted the Junior  Challenge Cup final with Stocksbridge Park Steels Under 21s playing against Euroglaze. Both teams to be congratulated on their efforts on a night that saw snow and hail in April make playing conditions difficult. Eventually the Stockbridge youngsters proved too quick and strong for Euroglaze running out winners by 4 goals to 1.

Sunday Junior Challenge Cup in association with Danwood

A game that was full of incident with both sides well supported on the day, Bagshawe proved worthy winners against Ward Green, securing a 2 - 1 win at Maltby Main FC

Women’s Challenge Cup sponsored by Sheffield Trophy Centre

Returning to the Parkgate FC venue, the 2015 beaten finalists Huddersfield Town Ladies were hoping to go one better this time around but came up against  a Barnsley Ladies side who played really well and deservedly clinching the game with a hat trick from Brittany Sanderson sealing their victory by 4 - 2.

Youth Challenge Cup (U16) supported by Burrows Toyota

A sunny Sunday morning at Stocksbridge Park Steels saw Sheffield FC (Greenhill) defeat Abbey Lane by 2 goals to 0, with both teams putting on a great footballing show.

U13s Challenge Cup in association with Sheffield International Venues (SIV)

The final, which for the second year took place at Scawthorpe Scorpions ground saw Young Owls run out 5 - 2 winners with Girey Alidu TJ the hat trick hero for Young Owls.
