County Cups

Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA organise and run eight County Cup competitions, which include some of the world’s oldest knockout football competitions.

Senior Challenge Cup

The Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Senior Challenge Cup is the joint oldest cup competition being run by a County Football Association, sharing this accolade with Birmingham County FA.

The first Senior Challenge Cup was won by The Wednesday back in 1876 at Bramall Lane.

Royal Earl were last season's winners, but they were taken to extra time by High Noon after the game had finished 1 -1 after 90 mins. With no goals in the extra time period it needed a penalty shoot out to secure the cup for the Royal Earl team.
