Volunteer role profile

Role Profiles

Outlining what each role requires is key when looking to recruit new volunteers. The list of responsibilities can help potential volunteers see exactly what is required whilst they are in post. It can also help word of mouth spread as your club members may be able to recommend a someone based on their skill set.

The role profile can also help clubs identify the right people for the roles. Whilst the role outlines are useful please don’t use these as a simple box ticking exercise, new perspective volunteers who are committed and enthusiastic can be supported to meet the responsibilities outlined in the role outlines.

Listed below are some templates from Sport England’s Club Matters, these can be edited to be specific for you and your club. We would also recommend adding what sort of time commitment is required for these roles.
