The leading firm of solicitors will be sponsoring Sheffield &Hallamshire FA’s Sunday Senior and Junior Challenge Cups for the next two seasons.
The deal reinforces Taylor&Emmet’s commitment to grassroots football, which already includes support of Greenhill Juniors and Dronfield Town Ladies teams. A total of 400 squads enter the Sunday Challenge Cups, making them the area’s largest cup competitions.
Anthony Long, Taylor&Emmet’s Chief Executive, said: “Many of our staff are keen local football fans, devoting a significant proportion of their free time to the sport at grassroots level. Like Sheffield and Hallamshire FA, Taylor&Emmet has a strong historical connection with the city and sponsoring the Challenge Cups is a demonstration of our continuing commitment to the communities in which our clients and staff live, work and play.”
Taylor&Emmet has enjoyed close links with Sheffield & Hallamshire FA for a number of years, having supported the organisation’s drive to recruit more referees since 2007. As part of its Challenge Cup sponsorship programme, the firm is offering a 10% discount on all legal services to club officials, players and anyone connected with the local Football Association.
James Hope-Gill, Chief Executive of Sheffield & Hallamshire FA, added: “We would like to thank Taylor&Emmet for making this two year commitment to the county FA. The teams involved in the Challenge Cups are passionate about the competition and the firm’s investment will be a valuable boost to the game. In return, we are confident that exposure to the many local people involved in grassroots football will be of great benefit to Taylor&Emmet.”
