Flexi Footie is an 11 a side initiative which is aimed at players and teams, who for whatever reason, do not play affiliated football.
This initiative was set up by the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA and is currently being run out of Goodwin Sports Centre and on the 3G pitches at Hillsborough College.
This league has an emphasis on social inclusion and is looking for adult teams (16+), of all ages, races, ability, religion and background to take part in football on a more regular basis.
As the name suggests the flexibility of the league means it is easier for players to participate who may normally have other commitments preventing them from playing affiliated football.
A central venue, one hour games, FA qualified referee’s and minimal administrative duties all provide an opportunity for people to experience grassroots football with minimal fuss and maximum benefits.
The next leagues start as follows:
Hillsborough College - 31st January 2012
Goodwin Centre - 3rd March 2012

“No Matter what the score, you can always share a laugh and a joke with your opponents and the referee. The games are always played in good spirits. It’s also really easy to do the little bit of admin that there is by email or text”
Cameron Pollard, Sheffield Occasionals Player
