This course will provide an introduction to the organisation and delivery of safe and enjoyable coaching sessions for young players. Awarded by The Football Association.
Who is this course for?
Aimed at coaches and qualified teachers (QTS) who wish to further their knowledge and confidence in coaching young players aged 5-11.

Course Duration: 6 Hours

Frequency: 1 scheduled per quarter initially

Course Details
The course is 6 hours, both theory and practical elements. On completion of the course candidates should be able to:
• Manage difference in your coaching sessions
• The STEP principle
• Explain how we all learn differently and include this knowledge in your coaching sessions
• Create an appropriate coaching environment
• Define fundamental movement’s skills (ABCs)
• Plan and manage effective coaching sessions
Note:
With the overall objective of developing better players, the Charter Standard Criteria requires all Charter Standard Clubs to have had at least once coach attend the Age Appropriate – Introductory Module in order to attain their status.
