Who is this course for?
The course is for coaches of players aged 16 to open age and coaches of advanced representative or professional youth teams.
Course Details
Minimum Age: 17 Years
Course Duration: 90 Hours contact time
Price: Online Booking - £380 per Candidate
Postal Booking - £383 per Candidate
Frequency: Minimum of 2 scheduled per year
Pre-requisites: Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football
The course is 50 hours initial training/17 hour’s support/23 hours’ assessment with theory and practical elements, along with distance learning modules.
On completion of the course candidates should be able to:
- Coach advanced individual techniques, group skills and principles of play to groups of players
- Develop an understanding of the coaching process, the needs of the players
- Plan and prepare coaching sessions in relation to a match programme and evaluate the process
- Maintain the health and safety of players and others
- Maintain high standards of conduct to promote Association Football
Assessment Pre-requisites:
- Up-to-date FA Safeguarding Children certificate (within last 3 years)
- Up-to-date Emergency First Aid certificate (within last 3 years)
- FAL Laws of the Game Exam/Online Course
- Practical delivery of a 2 x 25 minute planned practical coaching sessions
- All candidate portfolio tasks
- All sessions must be attended
