Who is this course for?
The course is for managers and coaches of school and club teams aged 5 – 16 years of age, youth leaders and prospective youth leaders, FE students and anyone who has an interest in coaching football.

Course Duration: 30 Hours contact time
Price: Online Booking - £155 per Candidate
Postal Booking - £158 per Candidate
Frequency: Approximately 1 scheduled per month
Pre-requisites: Open access to anyone wishing to develop their coaching skills
The course is 30 hours, normally delivered over 2 evenings and 4 day sessions.
Includes theoretical and practical elements, an assessed coaching session must be undertaken to pass this course along with distance learning modules.
On completion of the course candidates should be able to:
- Promote and establish working relationships and high standards of behaviour with players, coaches, parents and officials
- Achieve an awareness of related aspects regarding children’s football
- Introduce youngsters Under 11 years of age to mini soccer and promote its benefits
- Organise and supervise 23 fun football game like activities including mini soccer, small-sided games and conditioned games Obtain an awareness of further training opportunities for football coaching, medical and refereeing awards
Assessment Pre-requisites:
- Up-to-date FA Safeguarding Children certificate (included in course programme – valid)
- Up-to-date Emergency First Aid certificate (included in course programme – valid)
- All portfolio tasks
- Practical delivery of a 20 minute coaching activity
- All sessions must be attended
